We stayed in the Taleni Village close to the Anderson’s Gate which is the southern entrance into Etosha National Park. Their accommodation, service and food were immaculate. Remember to watch related videos on our Videos page.
Day 1
On day 1 we went on a Safari drive. Eddy was our tour guide and he know what he’s doing! We saw almost all the animals, except for the cat species. It was very windy and cold but we still enjoyed it immensely; elephants passed our vehicle almost close enough to touch, we saw a baby rhino and lots more.
Day 2
On day 2 we drove to the Namutoni Gate which is the eastern entrance into Etosha National Park.
We saw a rhino and cheetahs, which are very difficult to spot, so we were lucky to see them. Sad though that the rhino’s horns were removed :-(, either to protect its life against poachers or the poachers left this one alive. The week before we visited Etosha, 11 Rhinos were killed for their horns.
Day 3
On day 3 we decided to visit the Ozonjuitji M'Bari Waterhole and on our way, Eddy our day-1 tour guide told us Lions have been spotted and we should follow him and got a couple of awesome shots. The Ozonjuitji M'Bari Waterhole is to the western side of Etosha and it was vastly different from the rest of Etosha; dry, dusty and windy; harsh land, but still with its own beauty.
Taleni Etosha Village
The campsite was comfortable and as beautiful as the rest of the site.
Dis so nice om al die wilde diere te sien. Die verskeidenheid is amazing.
Hey Sanet. Where is everyone!? Are you there out of season? Or have the tourists just not come back yet? When is high season? Is it hot or cold there at the moment?
And in Etosha, are there many places to stay or are these the main camps where you are?
