It's a looong way to Cape Town and we needed a sleepover. We decided on the Karoo Koppie Guesthouse.

What really stood out for us was the friendly service before we even arrived. They kept in touch on our drive over, sent us their google map location, and half an hour before arrival told us who will meet us at reception.

This is a beautiful guesthouse on a hill (which is ‘Koppie‘ in Afrikaans) in the Northern Cape.

The outdoor area, fire pit and braai are inviting and gorgeous.

The room has everything we need; Sofa, TV, bar fridge, microwave, kettle, etc. They even set out some rusks with the coffee and tea, and some welcome sweeties.

Tomorrow we’ll continue our drive to the Western Cape to visit friends and family and to pick up our off-road caravan.
